Got out yesterday and done 6.5 so I’m at the 500 mark. House work & ironing today so don’t think I’ll get out but let’s see what happens.

Good result GG.

Thanks to fetch’s latest innovation on the training log, I see that I’ve run 540 miles in the last 365 days.

Thank you all, ran in this morning, just 4.1m but god I felt it, my legs are shot. I think last week's cardi-fit being heavy on weighted leg work really took it out of them, my run Saturday was painful then Sunday we were moving paving slabs. Yesterday I got off the tube at Covent Garden and walked the 193 steps to the surface. All taken its toll.

I wore compression socks today to help my legs, it made them worse so my run was far from easy but it was enjoyable. However, I think the sensible thing now would be to rest up for Loch Ness next Sunday it would be taper time now if I'd been following a plan but it is only 3 weeks ago since I did the ultra. I will do a few leg turn overs to keep going and must see if I can get a sports massage done, I think that would help a lot.

Having not noticed the new innovation on the training log I went mooching, when this run uploads (not showing so far) I will have done 609miles in last 365 days and 5001m total on Fetch. That is a bit mind blowing!! Thanks for mentioning it Red.

GG, well done on so cleverly and wisely advancing the age scale. Sadly you will have to wait another 20 years before you become seriously wise. The good news is that at 50 you can still get faster and even beat your PBs.

Ev if I could get faster it would be a bliddy miracle! wiser well there is hope I suppose.

So far day 1 of my 50's I managed to lose my handbag on way home from the birthday celebrations. Nothing I cant live without but I hope this is not a slippery slope...

So I have Loch Ness on Sunday and the scratchy throat I had towards end of last week has come back with a vengeance not the best timing.

Losing your handbag? Maybe you qualify for the Senior Moments thread too 😀

All the best for Loch Ness 🤞

About This Thread

*EDIT* in the current situation we are not entering races but I think we can still log any plans we may have over the coming months, whether it is learning a new skill, ticking jobs off a list, moving house(!), doing alternative exercise, aiming for training hours instead of miles, writing to family & friends, finding inventive ways to be together virtually or even entering virus races please fill in the planner and I’ll update this thread and keep our little social group going to share our goals.

Everyone is welcome, whether you don't want to set an official target or you may be aiming further but still want to pop by for a chat/offer some words of wisdom or just because the door is always open and kettle is on.

If you update the race planner after I've updated the header drop me an fmail or a reminder (or 2) on the thread so I know to update. Thanks
