Happy birthday, Columba and Mr TB. Tired, went out in London last night with old bandmates to hear another Bristol based ex bandmate's current band (are you keeping up?). Past one when I got to bed, then out to scan barcodes at parkrun. Why do people think barcodes on their shoes are a good idea? |

The advantage of the barcode on my shoe is that I can never forget it and I always have emergency contact details whenever I run without thinking about it. But I always take a paper barcode with me to parkrun as I'm incapable of balancing on one leg at the end of parkrun to get it up to a reasonable level for the scanner. Does mean if i do ever forget my barcode i have a back-up

That makes sense. Neither of these two had a paper copy, though, I knelt down for one of them and the other leaned on my shoulder to help get her foot up high enough to scan. Which was fine for me, but wouldn't necessarily be for everyone.

It was very atmospheric up there, the sheep kept surprising me as they appeared out of the mist

As I predicted, numbers were back down to normal at parkrun this weekend (491, as against 600+ last week). Apparently last Thursday was the likeliest day for NY resolutions to fall by the wayside, and the weather was a bit dreary today It was my 50th time of RDing |
