The deathmatchis set in Fetchie Towers, a fictional website in the elitist clique of Fetchland in the "Running Community". The plots centre on tense, rude and put-upon owner Ian Williams (Fetch), his bossy wife McGoohan, comparatively normal chambermaid GregP who often is the peacemaker and voice of reason, and hapless and English-challenged Spanish waiter Nellers, showing their attempts to run the hotel amidst farcical situations and an array of demanding and eccentric guests and tradespeople.
