I'll be there if I ever get round to booking somewhere to stay :)
I had a pair of Kanadias and I hated them, SK, made my feet hurt, finally chucked them after I ran through an innocent looking patch of mud and fell over sideways, which made me think the plate-of-steel sole and giant lugs weren't really all that for grip, never mind padding. Alternate between Inov8s and Hokas depending on how hard the surface is these days.

Badger - I might have a room that you can have. I booked two twin rooms last year when I signed up, in case TGEd was thinking of doing it again but I don’t think he is. Let me double check. It’s the Premier Inn, Eastbourne Central.

I've not booked anywhere yet either!

Suspect it's going to be a long walk with a bit of running for me, but I'm looking forward to it. My last-minute training is focused on distance rather than speed.

I'm doing this and, as ever, not booked anywhere to stay. I might do my usual early start to get there and pootle back home after, or even look out for a lift from s club mate.

We’re also booked into the central Premier Inn. We’re there for two nights as we’re anticipating Liebling being quite near the back.

I'm looking forward to my weekend away, the 10k and the Fetchfest. :)

Last time, I went back to my hotel, cleaned up, had lunch and went back to join B to watch everyone coming home and that's what I plan this time too.

I am off to find a few hills to walk up this weekend, I shall be waving the flag for the back packers and hoping to make it to the finish line. I am still undecided on shoes, I have only ever done short distances in my trails.

I also need to check accommodation, I did book through LateRooms but that has gone under, and I have not received a response to my email which I sent to the hotel direct! Mr WW was due to pick me up afterwards but there will be local fireworks going off at home and a 55 kilo dog in a very stressful state - so was planning to stay another night.

There’s usually plenty of accommodation in Eastbourne in October, try booking.com

In fact I just booked a room now, staying Friday night as it’s too early to get up!
