MOTO GP Spoiler Alert

What now for Lorenzo after winning the Italian GP, his first for Ducati?

Rumour has it he's been offered a new contract by Ducati but it's a small salary / large win bonus contract but he's, understandably given his results, holding out for a large salary contract. Does he stay at Ducati for a last pay day then retire? Or try another team? Can't imagine there's many free seats left for next season at this stage, but, would someone make room for Lorenzo because he's, well, Lorenzo?

Yesterday's news seemed to be that Lorenzo ha d signed for Repsol Honda, at Danny Pedrosa's expense.

Given that he doesn't have the same all-action riding style that Marquez has (and presumably the Honda is set up for), he might well struggle there.

Amazing superfast two-up tussle for the Senior TT today. I was glued to the timing board when I should've been working (and some great footage on the highlights tonight). Wow, MD missed a trick there, whatever he changed in final practice didn't work.

The TT this year has been phenomenal. Can't believe how many times the lap record got broken. Pleased that Hicky got two wins.

It was amazing to be there - shame the cancelled flight, night at airport ruined it.

I caught up at last with Mugello MotoGP yesterday. Sad to say I fell asleep watching it. Top class bike racing just isn't as exciting as it used to be.

Then I caught up with the first superbike race from the TT. No chance of falling asleep watching that, those guys are nuts.

I'd like to go to the TT one day but I just don't seem to have the organisational gene for planning a trip a year+ in advance.

Try the NW200 instead Fitz. Easier to organise nearer the time than the TT and a darn sight cheaper too.

Same riders, same bikes, same atmosphere and still road racing.

NW200 is a really great weekend away. The racing is awesome, the craic is great and the Guinness is gooood.

The only problem is you’ll be addicted....

I had a good observed ride with my TVAM mentor at the weekend. He wants me to do a ride with another observer, and if all good will put me forward for the IAM test. :-)
