Nellers, yes, thought I'd give it a go before my nights. Had a few days off just sleeping, eating and working. Back to some normality now.

CW, .. try this imusic-school.com

There are some good Metronome apps too.

20 sum feels a bit slow for me as most of my long stuff within the wolverine plan runs on a 16, 18, 20 spm pattern.

Alright Jef. You don't have to go on about it.;-)

I was held up at work last night and had some surprise stuff to do when I got home so no session yesterday. Off work today and tomorrow for a trip to Manchester (daughter has an interview at Salford Uni) so I'm going to spend the next 2 days mainly in the car.

Up early (for a day off) to get a rowing session in before we head off. Starting to introduce the intensity back in with a level 3 session this morning. I'll report in later on how badly it goes!

Well that was interesting in a variety of ways.

1) It's chilly out there in The Shed! I did the first 2k of warmup with my coat on.
2) 8K is a long way when you're not really ready for it!
3) 2:07 pace is tough to maintain when you're not ready for it
4) You know youre working hard when you can see the steam rising from your arms on every stroke!

Fun though, and it shows me I'm getting back to fitness properly, but gradually.

Two 5,000m easy rows this morning. I need to get on to C2 about my metres not uploading to the logbook. I'm slipping down the league table :-(

Nice one Nellers... me about to face the cold conservatory also for a L3 season.

12km at 2:06 pace on a 21 or 22 stroke. Cant rightly remember

Muttley. I got so fed up of flaky uploads I alas stick in the metres manually now.

Muttley and Jef - thanks for the link and the suggestion for slowing down the stroke rate. I'll give that a go this morning.

Sounds like a good run, Muttley, if you beat your target time by 90s over that kind of terrain. Hope you get the meters upload sorted soon (even though I guess that now means there's no chance of me catching up with you :-().

Good to see you're starting to increase the intensity, Nellers. I was surprised by how much I felt I'd slipped back with just a week or so off over Christmas, but it soon comes back.

I do most of my rowing outside (just easier than trying to carry the rower into the house from the shed) and find the temperature has been okay on longer/steadier sessions once I've warmed up a bit, but the high-intensity stuff is tough when you're gulping in freezing air. Not yet reached the point of steam rising from my arms, though, so I must be doing something wrong...

Jef, I've contacted Digital Rowing. But in the meantime I've manually added the rows. A bit of a faff but not too bad if I have to do that from now on.

4,500 as an easy row then 5,500 as a steady. Good sweaty clean fun.
