I love an afternoon nap :-) I don't go to bed though, I snuggle against the dog on the sofa and have 10 minutes or so (no longer or I feel too groggy on wakening.) It won't happen much as the weather improves as I like to get outside after lunch, but in the winter it's just the job!

I also had an avo-choc shot. It was, erm, interesting. I liked the texture. Not sure about the taste but it was a couple of days out of date :-0 :)

I haven't posted any newts here but I have quite a few...
I had a 'facial' today - I don't think I have ever had one before. It was supposed to be anti-aging but I don't seem to look 20 years younger as I had hoped.

I saw a John Godber play tonight that he also starred in. I have seen a lot of his plays but not one with him in it before. It was called The Scary Bikers and was about a couple from the North who go on holiday in Europe on a tandem............

I think I have other newts but will need to think back over the last few days - I have been quite busy!

Facials are a bit underwhelming Baroness , or at least the couple I've had have been. I discovered yesterday that my sister has one on ca monthly basis. I can't say I'd noticed (didn't say that to her, obvs, ;-))

The Scary Bikers sounds fun :-)

I did loads of new walks over the weekend. My parents have moved to Doune so we have thoroughly explored the area. I also entered a newt decade on Saturday. It's seems much the same as the last 4 decades to be honest.

I have also tried a newt type of curry from the takeaway. It was not intentional but they gave us someone else's order and when I took it back they said to keep it. Curry for 4 when there was just 2 of us pig

I made a Newt recipe for dinner last night. It started out as mushroom and lentil bolognese, but I went a bit off piste and used yellow split peas, then added spinach and pesto. It was good. Luckily, because it made enough for about 15 meals.

My newt is learning a bit of folklore. We're having the original fireplace in the living room replaced and a wood burner installed (habitués of the Mundane thread may recall). Today the fire surround was taken out and the opening excavated to take the stove. The workmen handed me two large handmade nails called 'cooking hooks' which are traditionally put inside a fireplace when a house is built. He said we're to be sure and keep them safe! The house was built in 1926 and the living room certainly wouldn't have been used for cooking, so it's rather nice that the builder carried on the tradition.

Back by popular demand. Well, it might be. I mean it IS back although I can't guarantee popular...
