I jogged a very cautious 2k this morning. Certainly not pain-free, but not *massively* painful. I will try a bit further tomorrow if there's no major repercussion from today.

I have completed my undulating 20km.

Hard work today for a variety of reasons but I did get to play out on the NDW and I saw a big deer :)

Yay for recoveries!

I deadlifted at xfit (she adds proudly). With 2 10k kettlebells rather than a pole thing and very slowly and cautiously. But I did 60 reps :) Back behaved.

No speed in the legs today. Hope it's back for Sunday. The enormous Fetchfest that is St Neots, plus a friend from work plus a friend of hers who she seems to think I know but I think I don't.

Columba
Careful, Daisy, careful. Got a "sensible" hat?
Hadn't done a "long" run (i.e., one taking more than an hour) for weeks and weeks, so decided I'd better get back to it, but care...fu...lly. So, 1 hour 10 minutes, not pushing the speed.

I am being cautious Columba, promise! I've cycled and done my fitness class this afternoon - Ben (our instructor) has given me some more exercises to do, and gave us a class which focussed on our cores (I'm going to have such sore tummy muscles tomorrow!) and my foot seems pretty happy - if anything, less tender than it has been.

And well done on your long run :-)

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
