Glasgow in the diary - not sure it's feasible but I could drive to Carlisle late Friday night and go from there :)

What time does it kick off as I probably won't be staying the night before or that night?

Usually 2pm LG.

There's always something going on in Glasgow but even I was shocked looking at hotel prices for that weekend so it will have to be just a one night stay for me on the Saturday and forego any parkrun tourism :( Apparently it's the Transmit Festival that weekend.

Couldn’t you do the Friday night instead DQ and do parkrun? That’s what we are planning

For those from further afield, a visit to Arran should be on your list and the Arran Half marathon just happens to be the next day. Great course, free swim at end and great views over to Kintyre .

An hour on the train from Glasgow (about the same by car) and 55 min on the ferry. Buses are normally laid on for runners and supporters to and from start at Blackwaterfoot.

I can give three folks a lift to the track (and back again) from Stirling (about 35-40 minutes, I guess), if anyone is looking at Stirling for accommodation.

Mrs Jigs, 10km drive to Strathclyde parkrun (Motherwell PI is in Motherwell in the Ryanair sense).

The Innkeepers Lodge (next to a Toby) is a warm-up jog to Strathclyde start (£58 Friday). I believe Maz stayed here before?

Days Inn Hamilton is £47 and I think slightly closer, also closer to a railway station.

(But is it a free swim in the Clyde, Belly fish ;-)?)
