I really enjoyed the snapper and the van. I think vaguely of Sharon tanning neatly "like a well turned kebab" whenever my knees nose and elbows go pink with the sun

A bit of The Van made me laugh out loud (the bit with the nappy)

Fierce and Fearless Fleecy
Not sure I've read any Roddy Doyle but I saw the Snapper at the cinema, it was funny.
Started 1989 (What We Talk About...Love, now WETAWWTAL) and it's ok I suppose. Some stories are better than others. He's not exactly Maugham though.

I have recently finished 2 more year books:
1980 - Bourne Identity (Robert Ludlum) - OK
2016 - The Association of Small Bombs (Karan Mahajan) - Excellent, Highly Recommended!

that makes 9 down, 44 to go...

currently reading 2 more:
1995 - The Wind-up Bird Chronicle (Haruki Murakami)
1973 - The Princess Bride (William Goldman)
enjoying both so far...

I visited one of my favourite second hand bookshops today, where I'm becoming something of a regular. Found another 3 Dick Francis novels
Whip Hand 1979
Twice Shy 1981 and
Bolt 1986.

I'm currently reading Banker (1982) which I think I'll probably finish over the weekend - will probably start Twice Shy next.... should be a bit easier to find most of them now I'm into the 1980s. There's only 2 of the very early ones I'm still looking for but it's car boot sale season now so lots more opportunities.....

I have just started Career of Evil - the third Cormoran Strike book by Robert Galbraith.
Been wanting to read this one for ages but it has been pricey on the kindle store.......until I received some amazon vouchers for my birthday ;-)
