That's a pity Stander. If indeed you are correct and the majority here are wrong you should keep battling against the status quo. I'm sure Copernicus, Darwin, Keynes and Einstein wouldn't have given up so easily. |

Back to B Rubble's fabulous quote from Max Hastings (now a Tory voter, though he did previously vote Labour 1997 and 2001 from what I've read) - what a withering indictment of his former employee. I think I'll have a bit of respect for Sir Max, as he's my late father's former boss too - if he hired my dad, a thoroughly nice and dependable bloke, I trust his judgement, at least his judgement of character and ability. The easiest thing to do to stop the headache gained from banging your head against a brick wall, is to stop banging your head against a brick wall.

TBH I looked at the declared candidates and thought "Is this seriously all you've got?" There was only one (Stewart) who I'd give any thought to chucking a bucket of water over if they were ablaze at my feet. And before TMW starts I actually think that about most of the Labour front bench as well. Without wanting to preen I've met BoJo vaguely socially (at the same country house party). It was like having a chocolate Labrador at a posh dog show. Trying to shag everything in sight and eating all the treats. |

Yes Stander I'm sure it is unpleasant and difficult for you to think about and discuss the consequences of your vote. That's pretty much the point.

Back to the spoiled ballot papers. While you can expect this from the electorate ,surely from those elected in something as important as selecting the next PM and one who is going to deal with probably the biggest issue we have had as a country they should be able to state a preference as to whom it should be. Surely. Re Stander, I do have sympathy for him and the other leavers and while I don't agree with their point of view, I don't like the way they are 'rubbished' on this thread and I can see why they don't engage much. |

It's a bit of myth that the millennium bug was a lot of fuss about nothing. Whilst it's true that there was some profiteering it had the potential to be problematic. A lot of money and manpower was chucked at it and mostly that saved too many issues.

I thought greatly about my vote and researched extensively. I'm a qualified accountant and actually know what I'm talking about. But JDA, you the worst of those chucking the insults around and I've pretty much ignored you recently as you are just full of shit. And now, I'm completely done here. |

The reality of this is that no matter what qualifications or experience one has, NOBODY knows EXACTLY what leaving the EU will have on the UK, (or EU) with or without whatever deals are available. Forecasts to a great extent are very coloured by the “expert’s” own opinions on whether we should leave or remain. |

Right, who do I hate less? The serial liar who is only interested in power for his own gratification or a slimy shitball who tried for years to destroy the NHS? 🤔
