Postieboy, they are the sort that when they go on holiday to Spain don't embrace the local culture and expect it to be England with added sunshine. But I suppose this will upset some and say just resorting to stereo types. But some times those stereo types are true. The other aspect is some didn't consider the ramifications and thought leaving the EU was like swapping supermarkets. They had no understanding of the intricacies built up over the last forty plus years. |

And another stereo type just looking 14 miles down the A10 to very well educated and aspirational Cambridge, it is the complete reverse and they have probably the highest proportion of remainers. Independent state of Cambridge affliated to the EU anyone? *tongue firmly in cheek* |

My previous boss got a first in mathematics from Cambridge and is a very vocal brexiteer. He is for more trade outside the EU and less regulation. Freedom from the United States of Europe. He is about as successful and cosmopolitan person as you will find. There are all sorts... |

Interesting, perhaps I'm wrong, as usual, but should we leave the EU I preceive that my freedom will be deminished. I'd love a Brexiteer to tell me all the fantastic opportunities that the UK will gain by being outside the EU. |

Was chatting to a Leaver last night who STILL basically believed the bus, despite otherwise seeming reasonable and intelligent.

I've yet to hear a single positive impact that will come from Brexit. No-one has as yet been able to offer a single tangible benefit. "Soverignty" doesn't count - because it's an illusory thing and will have no tangible effect on my life. I repeat yet again. Because no-one as yet can answer this. If it's going to take 50 years to see the benefits of leaving the EU, what is the fucking point? PS: Here is the BBC article someone asked for earlier. Wasn't hard to find. It was on the BBC news front page....https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-47678275 |

I think most of the leavers are blind to the consequences of leaving and quite frankly even if they are, the dont care, they just want to leave because they think in some way we are held back by being a member of the EU.

Interesting, thanks. Personally I like the idea of being in a club with France, Germany, Spain, Italy, etc, and think the UK have value to add to that the club.

Just watched the speech by Heseltine. Whether you are for or against his views that is how to deliver a speech.
