Good news Pix. I like to shred everything remotely personal so it's good to be able to know it goes to recycling.

You can often put shredded paper in your normal bin, not your recycling bin. Or give it to a hamster.

Or make paper mache (papier-mâché) items

I have an old gas hob that I'd like to go a housing charity for re-use, but Google searches only find charity shops, which won't take them.

Kittenheels Kath could you contact a couple of corgi registered tradesmen and see what they do with old appliances?
Or someone renovating buildings?
Is there a reclamation yard nearby, the sort that has old radiators and things?

Got something to say?

Help advice and support for declutterers

Special May Challenge

theminimalists.com

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
