Thanks G, I was just off there to check. Hatch and Wyman have been a good combination on commentary there this CX season. I do tune(Toon?) out of Hatch with is over-emphasis on pronunciation imho but Wyman calls moves half a lap before they happen and is very rarely caught out with stuff happening. She called MvdP so right last Sunday at Hoogerheide |

I dont worry about Hatch and Helen is excellent so it works. I don't like Red Bull TV though, app is clunky and hard to navigate. Prefer You Tube and GCN

Good day to be a Dutch CX fan, brits were oh so close in ladies Juniors and mens U23 but on that course grid placing was paramount. If you are lower than 2nd row grid placing you risk blowing if you try and get to the front too early to overcome the drawback of lack of World Cup placings and thus ranking. If you are MvdP perhaps you can overcome this but for everyone else you have to rely on the national federation to fund a complete season of World Cup attendance. Failure to back our cyclists with s full campaign is proving to be a clear handicap at this Worlds so far, can Pidcock be the exception tomorrow I wonder. |

Within the space of a week we had a dirt Crit at Hoogerheide World Cup to a mudfest at the Worlds, with a dash of Namur cold rain thrown into the mix. Seems like Pidcock had the right prep with the Shrewsbury mud race Nationals. Last 2 laps looked like they were raced in slow motion, little doubt that MvdP would win but compelling fight between WvA, Toon and Pidcock kept me on the edge of my seat until they got over the last bridge crossing. Great event despite a flat uninspiring course imho. |
