Just watched MSR, what a ride by Nibali. Exciting to watch even though I knew he won. Cavendish crash was scary, he's had a few this year already.

When Trentin blew and the peloton swallowed him and Nibali started slowing, I thought it was curtains for him, he just seemed to be losing too many seconds too quickly, but it was exceptional riding.

There's cutting it fine and then there was Nibali yesterday. He won but the chasers were given same time.

It was good. I bet Gilbert was left disappointed though, but there was no way his team mates were waiting up for him when he jumped away on the last hill and then he was stuck with following the others who just kept stop-starting and never quite putting to together to make the catch.

Yes they made the right call to keep riding as Gilbert didn't get a big enough gap.

Terpstra renowned for looking after his own interests when he is in front too. QS on fire at the start of 2018, nearly 20 wins and we are still only in March |

QS showing their strength today again, and arguably Viviani should have won on Sunday. Sunday will be very interesting. Stybar has been a great blocker in this classics season so far.

Working from home so I got to watch it today (I did say I might go back into the office then remembered there was cycling on ;)). I was heartened to see people crashing in the same place as I did when I rode the Boonenberg...

Flanders on tv all day, off out for a while and back before the fun starts. Brain says Sagan, heart says Benoot, kiss of death for both probably, Kwato maybe? |
