Cassani has taken the blame but really, after Nibali, surely an italian DS or a rider would have known not to take a sticky bottle.

It seems that Moscon may not be the sharpest and with this DQ and the charge of using racist language earlier in the season, there must be more than a marginal gain for Sky to teach young Gianni.

Good to see Ben Swift in contention, shows his San Remo credentials are still valid for really long races.

TdF 2018 Cobbles baby, woo hoo.
Know where I shall be on the 2nd sunday of the Tour, if plans fall into line.
Bit early to start a new thread.

Velowire got most of the route correct and have been following his updates over the last few weeks.
Formal launch was this morning. Pro cyclists do not look comfortable out of lycra, Nairo looked like he was off to church in his sunday best to sing in the choir.

Does everyone else who picks up the CX feeds via cyclingfans or steephill get a crappy picture on t'internet despite the setting suggesting 720 or 1080 hd.
Never thought I would be missing the Bike Channel Cx coverage but even that was better than some of the coverage recently.
This weekend was almost as bad as the old dial-up feeds from 20 years ago.
Anyone getting a good feed and if so from where?

And the Women's U23 race was a total no-contest. Evie Richards just rode away from them all. What are the rules about young riders going up to the elite race? The commentators were saying that she had asked to race up but they'd refused her permission.

The coverage isn't the best to be honest. The start is off the main loop so they only had a long shot through the trees until they got onto the main course itself. Not ideal when the start is such a big part of the race but in the WU23 race it didn't matter much.

She certainly seems to be a cut above the rest of the youngsters SPR. I know so little of the CX scene (other than Pidcock by reputation) that I wouldn't know how she would fit in in the senior elite field but on that showing she certainly wouldn't be at the back.
