I have one son at Cambridge, the other at Birmingham so I like the way this thread is going, BTW :-)

The Mighty Fleecy
I’m imagining McG running round Cambridge bridges, doing a mile on the track then running to Birmingham

Columba
A Bristol one would suit me, as my two youngest both live in Bristol so I would have a bed for the night.

Hmm I've clearly been a bit indoctrinated by parkrun - as Oxford would also be the Thames I guess it's not really tourism.

Cambridge, though...

Sorry, I was cooking roast pork, apple sauce and millionaires shortbread.....

route here fetcheveryone.com/routes-view.php?id=1806651
it's got 9 bridges including Elizabeth Way which you go both under and over, but the route after 4 miles is a bit grim

It would be difficult to combine with a jingle mile because the track is 3 miles from the station if everyone is on foot, though there is a bus. I couldn't do it as I'm booked up the morning before the next jingle

Yes, as I recall, the problem with the Cam at Cambridge is that a lot of the land is owned by or actually in colleges, so it restricts the access somewhat.

The Bedford Bridges Challenge was great so tourism is definitely worth doing.
