The opposite of the Mundane thread - post unusual things that have happened. I called to visit an elderly lady, discovered she was on the floor, and had to call an ambulance. I would have been the hero of the hour, if I'd thought to try the front door before calling the police to gain access.... the door was open! |

The average day has more mundane things in it than exciting ones, so I predict this thread will move rather slower. Isn't there a Chinese curse that runs: "May you live in interesting times"? |

Can we post exciting things that have happened in the past?

I'm going to the Moon! Possibly. Probably not, actually. |

I have tried to find something exciting for this thread. I've even typed a couple of posts, then deleted them. Clearly my life lacks anything exciting whatsoever and I shall skulk back to the mundane thread...

I have been involved in a few train related incidents recently. I'm not sure that I would class being stuck on a train for hours due to the pantograph pulling the overhead lines down exciting.

I got a lift into work today with our Underwriting Manager. He's effing mental. I was terrified. We got there 15 minutes quicker than we would if I'd driven, though. I might go grey soon if this arrangement becomes a regular thing.

I think they have to be things which have actually happened, rather than things that might happen. How long ago is up to personal discretion.
