Yes, HQ set the boundaries for the regions, the individual events then fall within these boundaries.

I don't think the local team have the ability to physically move the run to another location ;-)

Now I get you point. But it is hardly parkrun's fault that while in Scotland (and Wales) we sit behind a solid boundary, centuries of squabbling Kings followed by decades of squabbling bureaucrats have left English regional boundaries a bit fluid!

Is this a good time to point out that Yorkshire hasn't existed as a single entity since it got split up in 1889?

I doubt that there is ever a good time for that, WildeRover. Not if you are anywhere near Yorkshire, especially.

Whatever region it is in, it seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis! It no longer appears to be called Brotton parkrun, but Marshall Fields parkrun. However on the course page, the map shows it as Marshall Drive parkrun!

Just a point on Knole Park. It is only the house and walled garden which is NT. The park is almost all privately owned. I gather they are considering stopping the annual Sevenoaks Tri using the park which would be very disappointing. Doffy.

Can we get events moved then? I refuse to acknowledge the existence of Humberside. Can Cleethorpes be in the East Midlands?

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
