About time. Drumpellier would be a good location. Trails and paths are quite wide and not usually very muddy.

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but some people in the Upton on Severn area in Worcestershire are looking to start one up there.

There is an article on today's Cochester Gazette website about a second parkrun for Colchester. I'm guessing it will be at Abbey Fields or perhaps Highwoods but haven't heard anything official.

Lubberly - I saw that (and indirectly referred to it on the Huddersfield parkrun thread on here). Not sure how comfortable the organisers are with advance publicity, though, given that it's relatively secluded and the terrain probably isn't suited to hundreds turning up in the winter...

(Minnie, rich, etc - OK with this or trying to avoid this sort of publicity?)

Lubbely/Dooogs - the new one next week has been pulled from the New parkrun group on Facebook - I understand at EDs request - so obviously wanting a low-key inaugural. I've got a work colleague/friend who lives a mile away from SH so will be persuading her to resume her parkrunning career in the coming months.

MT - ta, sounds sensible. It should be perfect for me given that our eldest plays for Hudds Town Ladies U-9s about 50 yds from the start line... but annoyingly, they've got away games for the next two weeks!

I'm planning to be there (with eldest in tow) for SH #3, all being well. :)

Cardiff now looking for a 3rd venue. 1,091 at Blackweir and 253 at Grangemoor on Saturday. A third parkrun in the city should alleviate some congestion. No new course identified as yet though, so some way off.

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
