I was at Aldi's today and noticed that they had some cycling gear in. Not much left - but the *very* lightweight waterproof jackets looked good. £10, extremely light, but felt durable enough. I've had gear from this particular Aldi brand (Crane) before and have found it to last much longer than most other clothes I have.

I got the 30L rucksack today. Seems ok, but too long for running IMO, so will be going back.

I've had plenty of cycling and running gear from Lidl and Aldi over the years. The cycling shorts and tops have lasted ages and I prefer to wear my Lidl cycling stuff over my Sports Direct stuff, their shorts chafe even on my 4 mile commute. In fact I bought another cycling t-shirt in Lidl yesterday which is a great fit and very comfy. I also bought some natural running shoes from Aldi yesterday for £15. I thought I'd give them a try as I've often fancied going natural and I'm wondering if it will help with my plantar fasciitis. If they are I'll let you know, if they cripple me I won't be posting on here anymore! |

Saw that when I picked up the leaflet. I really wish I could buy the normal running shoes (although I prefer the women's colours) but I just don't feel that I could. What we need is for someone who has plenty of cash to buy them and give them a proper test.

Their running gear is definitely worth it, good value- and I think Lidl and Aldi have the same stuff. But I don't recommend their running shoes. lack of support, and no stability after a few runs. I am a mild overpronator so that may have something to do with it. I'd bought the shoes cause they were cheap and thought why not give them a try? wish I hadn't bothered. Btw, as I'm a bit of a tight wad in the past Ive also tried decathlon's own running shoes- didn't get on with them either, for same reasons. (decathlon gear- great value also) in future I'll stick to old season colours asics online to save a few bob and not aggravate my plantar fascitis |

Aldi have new running stuff today. The running socks are great - I got some a few months back and they're wearing well.

Most of my running gear is Aldis. It fits well and lasts for ages
