It was when Liebling said ‘why do we have a garden? We never go in it. We just look at it through the windows.’ Then we realised we couldn’t even do that as the windows were so grimy.

I can't hear you. I cleaned the inside of the upstairs windows this year, downstairs are still on my list. The sun is coming in at funny angles now that it is finally autumn and at various times I can see swat marks, dead bugs and fly poo. Come back in half an hour and it's all gone.
