there would certainly be a benefit sometimes to having one's mouth taped up. :)

Ernie cannot wait you get into the vets and drags me about trying to explore. I think it’s actually a stress response and a need to check everything out/smell all the smells to see if it’s safe.

Glad to hear Ralph is doing fine.

Never have any problems taking Stella to the vets, as our vet knows just how easy it is to win over a Labrador with biscuits.

We have nervous dogs at the vets, just a bit squirmy. A close call for out of hours for us tonight. Phoebe and Cookie are continuing to enjoy the freedom of the long lead being dropped so they can have a run round. Phoebe must’ve caught her foot on something sharp and has cut the pad. Luckily it stopped bleeding shortly after so we’re treating it with an easy couple of days and some of Cookies painkiller for his hips in the hope it’ll sort itself out.

Glad Ralph is making good progress and the lump is of no immediate concern.

Floss has had a day under the weather this week - sickness, off her food, generally listless. She's had a couple of random days of being slow to eat her breakfast in the last few weeks, and I don't know if that's connected. I did wonder about her teeth but she lets me look in her mouth and I can't see anything holed or rotten and she doesn't have bad breath. I think this week's bug was just that, as she's fine again now. It's always a worry when they can't tell you what's wrong :-(

Poor Phoebe :( -

I've always managed to cope with cuts on the pad - and we've had more than a few! by washing with Hibiscrub, applying a cloth dressing and then putting a Thera-paw boot on

(recommended by a vet nurse friend)

I hope it's just a one-off bug LD, glad she's fine now and hope it doesn't re-occur x

It stopped bleeding fairly quickly so hopefully a couple of easy days will sort it. We’re both working tomorrow so they’ll have a quieter day anyway.
