Mowing? or hoovering up leaves?
I am planning mine on the next dry, non freezing day.
Except I might be tempted to run instead.

But they don't stop growing over winter, and they do look quite unsightly if the growth is uneven.

Grass doesn’t grow over the winter in Scotland. April will be the earliest cut.

Growing days for grass are those over 5°C. A bit of sun will also promote it. SE England has a lot more of these than Scotland over winter, that's for sure. Although the mild winter of a couple of years ago here saw definite growth. In fact, there is clear growth in some sheltered bits (by hedges) in my garden. Not that I'll be mowing.

(Anything else, like strawberries flowering, I'll take to "Morning Light" if required :-) )

Grass is not growing much here in the south east at present thankfully.

I to very often use the wrong word - glad it's not just me and does make the family laugh at times

My lawn is mostly moss with just a few straggly bits of grass, so not worrying about that till the spring.

I often use the wrong word, or almost do, manage to stop myself, then spend ages trying to think of the word I actually want to use.

If the grass is a bit wet or the ground is too soft it can look worse afterwards than just being a bit long. Not that my grass is much cop at the best of times.

For the first year ever I'm hoping grass will start growing sooner so that I don't have to re-route our parkrun to keep the council onside!

*whispers* I actually put my hoodie on back to front in the dark last night and thought - I can’t see a thing. The hood was over my face.
