I once reversed out of a legitimate parking space into a car that had just been thrown into a bit of the car park that was not a parking space. I got out, looked at the car, thought, "Pfft, barely a flesh wound, what do they expect if they leave their car there?" and went on my way. A few months later I had a call from the police. The episode, including me checking the car and driving off, had been caught on CCTV. They told me that if I paid up nicely for the flesh wound to be put right it would save them the trouble of prosecuting me. |

Only when leaving the house this evening did I realise I had left the keys in rhe front door when I got home from work. Car key and all!

I emptied a tin of soup into a saucepan and then out the empty tin into the dishwasher instead of into the recycling box.

Took the laptop upstairs to work in the home office (that also has a PC) as it's warmer. Couldn't work out why I couldn't get the laptop to wake up.... wrong mouse.

I swept the ash out of the fireplace and laid the fire for this evening. Went to wash my rather filthy hands and saw the washing machine had finished. Took out all the lovely clean white towels etc with black hands

took glasses off to do something, sat back at desk and couldn't find glasses. Went back downstairs where I'd been last and forgot I'd gone to find glasses and started preparing dinner for later, went back to desk and remembered that I couldn't find my glasses. Went back downstairs - no sign of them, so went into front room to collect spare pair. Went back to desk, where my original glasses were sitting with nothing to obstruct my seeing them . . . . sigh
