It is PF sort of location, but having had it before it doesn’t feel like PF. none of it is sore to touch so a bit hard to pin point, the Achilles is also a bit sore while walking. Feels ok right now but that may be the medicinal alcohol It’s such a lovely area- we have had a couple of weekends away in strathyre in the last couple years which is what made the race seem tempting |

well, looks like I'll be having to drop out While there has been improvement since the injury first flared up and I can now walk normally (I was having to walk on tip-toe), it still hurts to walk and I haven't run in over a week. Just had my second physio appt and while she said she would help loosen my foot up and tape me up if I do want to do it, she thinks even if it's better by then the run will make it worse (unsurprisingly!) Unfortunately I have bigger fish to fry in December and races that I will lose a load of money on if I pull out of, so I think it really comes down to a choice between the two. I haven't decided for sure- I have until Tuesday to cancel my hotel without charge so will decide by then. but not being able to walk pain free a week out isn't a great sign. if anybody wants a medium hoody let me know... |

Aw really sorry to read this M_N, I was looking forward to seeing you. I hope you recover quickly in time for your other races. I've had my own injury woes- I went over my ankle at a club session last week so have been taking it really easy. I'm pain free now but haven't done as much training at I was planning to.

Four more runs for me before next Saturday. Path of Condie, 6, 5 & 3 miles. Feel really lazy while tapering! Nae joy MN, there's always next year. |

Path of Condie as part of taper Ally? Impressive! It's a tough route, I believe? M_N hope all heals quickly. Gutting to have to pull out of a race, but better than doing yourself further damage. Sounds like right decision. Mrs s, hope you are all better now/soon. G |

Aye, it's a hard route, walked a section the last time, only did that there and Barra in a road race.

Well it shouldn’t really matter. And I know 3 miles is a LOT less than 33. But I just ran 3 miles pain free and now feeling conflicted again. Ugh My hotel has to be cancelled by Tuesday if I don’t want to get charged. Wish I had a few more days to decide!! |

So what was the decision M_N, yeah or nay ? Looks like we are going to be really unlucky with the weather, been lovely all week and continuing to tomorrow, then crap on Saturday, then nice again Oh well, at least it looks like mild and rain as opposed to cold and rain. The wind will be a right bugger going down Glen Ogle, but should get a nice blow back up Final wee run out for me this evening, then an easy day tomorrow. Everyone feeling ready and raring to go ? |
