Open Water Swimming

When I first saw it I thought it was a race that went around the arctic circle (long and land in the way), or around the pole (which would be very cold/impossible.. although maybe Lewis Pugh could do that as he has swum at the North Pole).

Conditions were relatively good but a bit different to what I am used to as it was out and back perpendicular to the beach and I am used to swimming across the beach. The difference in splits out and back was telling. My time wasn't particularly good but I did enjoy swimming in a new location. I have the Alex to Mooloolaba swim in a month so more training required.

About 200m each which is an indicator of the flow being 100m of effort and 100m back. Pleased not to have had major shakes after, I think I’m getting a bit more sensible and/or acclimated 😀
