we also have a next door Ivy problem! the other side also has a rampant thing that keeps attaching itself to my failed miniature apple tree that never produces anything! |

Apart from being undesirable for aesthetic reasons and it’s rampant growth where it’s unwanted, ivy doesn’t damage healthy trees or impair their growth. (Info courtesy of an arborist who was examining some trees in my road following reports by a concerned neighbour) |

I quite like ivy, in small doses. Today I saw what looks like a cabbage white caterpillar, on (of all things) a forget-me-not plant. I have nothing in the cabbage family, and at present no nasturtiums, so I suppose it's any port in a storm. |
