Hanneke, you are talking about the basically chemically inert plastic when compared to copper for this biodynamics thing? 🤐

I think looking at my lawn today I might give rice a go this year.... 🌧️

Markyx3 yes and having looked at the cost of copper sprayers, 200 Euro's, I am going to go with the plastic one I already have this year... On the basis that it is chemically inert and the preparations are in it for a very short time as you make them up, put them in the sprayer and use right away.

If it works this year then I shall treat myself to a gorgeous copper one for next year :)

Re germinating on kitchen paper, I do this with sweet peas as I'd heard they can be tricky. Certainly does the trick for them.

I soak sweet peas over night before planting... They like softening up...

Nice one Colomba. I am still hoping some of mine are simply late, although the accidentally digging up of a clump of dormant bulbs doesn't give much hope...

They are a bit tangled up with some clumps of heather, and they have to do quite a bit of growing in order to get above the heather and burst into bloom.

Now a windswept plain, with extra boggy bits, Columba!

Despite York being "flood ready" overall, that doesn't ever quite extend to my back garden!

Still, no lost fence panels or sheds, no gained trampolines or tree branches...

I have snowdrops in my garden in a place where I'd dug them up. I'll move them again and see if the same thing happens next year. :) I also have some primroses in flower and saw this on my walk on Saturday.
