I managed to get a load of darks about 3/4 dry outside this morning before bringing it in just before it started raining :-)

Lovely drying day here in Herts - will be getting the sheets out shortly. Need to make the most of these last precious drying days before the cold and wet properly sets in...:(

All it's done for the past two weeks is rain, but today, the sun shone out of a cloudless sky.

I hung the washing out at 9:30 & we then went for a nice 9 mile walk, taking in Angmering Old Village & Highdown Hill.

When we got home at 3 pm the washing was nice & dry on the line.

About This Thread

For lovers of the art of hanging the washing out:

Weather forecast: Shall I hang my washing or not ? Check here:

bbc.co.uk

Terminology: 'Fluffing' -- Going out and runninng your hands over the washing just to feel whether still moist. Sometimes not needed but we all like to fluff

'Melvyn' - where you run you fingers through your washing, you think it's damp but you're not sure. It could be dry. You leave out or take in? you've done a Melvyn'.

Also for sharing photos of 'Extreme pegging'. Plastic or wooden they are all embraced here :)

lifeyourway.net Some top tips to help increase your enjoyment of this wonderful past time :)
