I think I'll do this one as a training run for The Fling. Joopsy, if you can make it to Dumfries the day before I can take you to Aberdeen on the Friday and back after the race. Means you've only half the journey to drive. Just a thought.. |

That is a very kind offer Siouxsie. Where are you staying in Aberdeen and what time do you need to leave on Friday?

The biggest race in Lincoln is the same weekend and is 7 miles from my front door. Oddly I am seriously considering a round trip of over 800 miles just to see you and the rest of my Scottish pals Mrs S. I just need to make the dates work with Mrs J, if I can I hope to be there.

Joopsy, not sure where staying - somewhere cheap and convenient once I know logistics of start/finish. And it's a 4 hour drive from here so can leave anytime as long as I got there for food and a decent sleep! For example, leaving here about 4pm or 5pm at the latest.. Race starts at 9am so would be aiming to be leaving Aberdeen by 4pm which might mean running straight to the car lol! Just let me know if it can fit with your family/travel needs. |

Nywanda - I know some folk did stay at Loon Dod's house last year. We've got a room spare for any far away fetchies. Your fetchpoint is sounding awesome already! Joopsy - Awww we'd all love to see you again. * deliberately doesn't use emoticons* |

Last year the before and after parties were in Stonehaven so might be worth looking at accomodation there folks. I sadly don't have a spare room unless I kick QP out (which I probably will as its my birthday on 17th and I intend to party) - his bed is a cabin bed tho so not the best for grown up guests I am intending marshalling and have dibs on the halfway point again |
