RWR - debauchery and moving house? Sounds like fun!

WKP - Just think about the wee baby girl you are going to have in 8 short weeks, she will be here soon and you'll forget all about this bit. I can't wait for you to have your baby :-). Have you read Supernormal's latest blog? 5 months after having her wee girl she's just done a 4:13 mara :-o. She also had a horrendous pregnancy. You might've spoken to her on the pregnancy thread? I bet you will bounce back just like her. You work with Beth? Small world as ever! Maybe we could get you in to the rugby?

R2H - Well done on your 19 miles

hp - Hope you're feeling better soon x

TQ - *waves from an unbelievably warm Stoney* Could I interest you in joining the Mackie ladies too? It's great to do something different! shanksi has even said he's going to buy a rugby ball!

I didn't realise Mackie Ladies were still playing. MrsC plays at Montrose but I thought she'd said Mackie weren't playing, must have been my mistake. The combined Montrose/Garioch team won their league match against Stewatry yesterday 66-7. Stewatry called it off half way through the second half, otherwise it would have been a cricket score :-)

Rugby will find you some muscles you never knew you had!

AC - they aren't playing matches... yet. I don't think they have enough regular players at the moment. It's all about the training and playing a bit between themselves just now. Is MrsC playing touch rugby or proper rugby?

She plays full contact 'proper' rugby in the National Development League. Montrose and Garioch have both got ladies teams but have too few to play on their own so they combine for the league. It must be the not playing matches bit where I got mixed up about Mackie.

There used to be a summer touch tournament in Aberdeen a few years ago (when we lived in Peterhead) which was run by Aberdeen RFC and had loads of mixed teams from local companies. That was good fun.

What a swelter !! Weirdest run today out of the town at dusk. Cool air blowing above the waist from the sea and hot air from the fields keeping the legs warm. Sky full of purplues and oranges.

WKP you are in the home straight now. Just think of all that heart training that comes with the "process".

AC - after hearing about all the injuries my friend Sandy suffered in his rugby career I am totally put off proper rugby! Respect to your Mrs for doing it though

JR - always nice to hear a man talking about childbirth. You've certainly had enough of us going on about it during our runs!

AC, Mackie Ladies don't play anymore and haven't for a number of years now. What we have now is cross training and maybes a wee bit bit touch. Still very good fun and good for you.

Aww WKP sorry to hear you are suffering - I take it that its your pelvis? mine went too but I never got to the crutches stage. Have you seen an osteopath? The lady I see is fab and still puts me back together on a regular basis!

Hope you all have good fun on Sunday - I shall be swimming - all day :):)

WKP - I know you weren't keen on the crutches but needs must. Not much longer now :) Like Mrs S I can't wait to have a new baby to coo over. I love babies and toddlers. Mind you 9 year olds can make breakfast in bed so I can't complain.

I am rotten today. I thought I had got off lightly and yesterday was the worst of it. Today I feel much worse. Never mind I'm sure this is the worst of it and I'll be tip top in time for the Mile. Looking forward to tomorrows day off :)

tomsmum - how far are you swimming tomorrow? Which challenge is this?

I was up in Aberdeen yesterday. Strolled along the beach and had a paddle. About 5C colder on the coast than in town though! Lots of people I think might have knocked off early and gone to the front? Hordes of runners. You must be even hardier than I thought to have your parkrun along the Esplanade ;-).
