I hope it's the latter of your ideas Fetch. I'm sick and tired of everything being 'dramatic' and miserable all the time. Have the scriptwriters not heard? Life in small country villages is bloody boring for long stretches of time and generally, nice things happen - happy marriages, healthy children being born, farms carrying on without catastrophe - more often or at least as often, as nasty things.

That's what I believe anyway :-) #justcallmepollyanna

...but it nice-but-dull (to say nothing of 'bloody boring') would hardly make fun listening!
What could we grumble/speculate/gulp back tears about?

Woman cannot live by the Flower and Produce Show alone.

No but Flower and Produce, Single Wicket, Deck the Hall and the occasional Parish Council meeting ....plus of course the Christmas Show - all the rest is just padding surely.... ;-)

I really want to like Emma because of how she's helping Mia, but the whole encouraging Ed to take Tim's dodgy work just doesn't really sit very well in her character to me. Still, I suppose it will give another storyline for Harrison who hasn't really had a great deal to do while Freddie has been banged up.....
