This weekend will be a doddle. We will definitely still want a dog of our own after Sunday.

I shouldn't be surprised that the first notification of this is an announcement of your new relationship. I suppose it's more of a surprise that you're not announcing that you're pregnant, (again) by this new person. But then that might be more tricky this time, considering its a same-sex relationship.
