I thought the Loom was written as 'a way' rather than the only way, have I misread or misunderstood? (Wasn't it something about 'high-born' families wanting to have the status of a guaranteed Time Lord or Lady in the family?)

IMS they were almost all sterile as a race, and the Loom was engineered to get around this.

CRISPR is not a snack, it's a method for gene editing. One of my friends gave a talk on it at the Latitude festival at the weekend.
