Flatlander
That was the first episode this season which I've enjoyed. Good theme, with a well written story that tied everything and everyone together.

Apart from Nardole being on some primetime jolly, I go along with Flatlander's analysis. ^
The 'triumvirate' near the end may be significant.

My word - Moffat finally remembered once upon a time he could pen an exceptional episode... "I waited for you..." yes we have been.. Great one, and lets hope the finale doesn't go back into Russel T Davies mode of lets blow shit up in ever greater and more spectacular amounts. We demand emotion as well!

It was pretty good. Some strong direction and an excellent concept (amazing that it's taken this long for them to dabble in time dilation).

And those Cybermen were ripped straight out the 60s - they did literally nothing to update the design at all. Had they not given it all away in the previews that would've been a great reveal.

it would be great if they were joined by the first version of the Master, the one with the pointy beard who looked like Ming the Merciless... (who, as a kid, used to scare me more than the Daleks)

Antony Ainley.... oh yes. Unfortunately he died in 2004: en.wikipedia.org

I'm sure they could get a lookalike stand in, like they did with William Hartnell in The Five Doctors or Three Doctors or whatever.

Ainley wasn't the original - that was Roger Delgado, who died even longer ago (and was significantly less hammy than Ainley).

Rumour has it David Bradley is going to be playing the Hartnell Doctor in the Christmas episode.
