ChrisHB Jul 2019 11:10pm, 14 Jul 2019 18,174 posts	0 ChrisHB If a mug stands in a little water on a trivially sloping surface, and if hot water is poured into it, the air caught beneath it heats up, expands and raises the mug sufficiently that it can accelerate down the trivial slope. Other explanations may be closer to the mark. I suppose it would stop when it got to the edge of the surface, but on this occasion I stopped it myself, not being in a scientific frame of mind when someone else's mug and my coffee are at stake.

Unless I've spent all these years and never found a "perfectly ripe" one? Much better dried, oddly.] That there was Cricket on the TV yesterday evening. (Our household set has been stuck in Wimbledon mode for the last fortnight. I haven't been watching that, either!)

(I have friends who work there. The place is quite old school in many ways. Did you know they also supplied prefabricated McDonalds' restaurants for a while?, which explains why they all look alike!)]
