Anyone watching the women’s marathon? I thought it started at 23:59 our time but realised it was local time and have just turned it on

It’s on the BBC red button and website. I’m not convinced the late night start is doing much for the spectacle. When you can hear the runners breathing there’s not much crowd support

I am. It looks quite ridiculous in all honesty with so many deciding that enough is enough after only an hour of running. Such a shame and totally understandable - if they don’t wreck themselves they can fight another day soon. Push on and it could take weeks to recover....
