That's a fair point SPR. "Choose your parents wisely" is something I've heard as advice for those who want to go on to be elites. It is unusual though, isn't it, for such strength and speed to be making it through the genetic process that is mother + father + random factors.

Presumably not every horse sired by a Gold Cup winning horse / mare is actually any good as a race horse?

The article has nothing to back up the claim other than it was told, from what I can see - as everyone has said "no comment". You;d need to be pretty daft to miss three tests

Apparently the news about Coleman was doing the rounds for a while. LetsRun had some rumours about it too earlier in the week. I doubt even the Mail would go to press with that story if it wasn't 100% sure. The only caveat is that he might be appealing the whereabouts violations.
