That sprint was absolutely desperate for both of them. Shame there had to be a loser really.

Any camera position other than head-on for the last 800m would have added to the viewing experience, couldn't tell how close together they were................

Mrs Jigs - yes, after I'd posted that realised how gutting it would have been for her to lose after leading for so long. I do like to see locals win though. A good run by Aly Dixon to finish in 2:35 & second FV40. She could barely run at the start of the year due to injury so a great result.

Defaga won in adidas kit - clearly didn't need the 4% shoes!

Though all the men on the podium were 4% wearers I think?

Great run by Dixon, though you have to think that running 2:35 in Boston where a qualifying time for Olympics or World Champs wasn't available doesn't feel like a sensible career move when London was just two weeks away.

Dibaba has just withdrawn from London...hoping she’s ok but sad she’s not running . Love watching her.

That's a shame.

I'm really looking forward to London - let's hope for a good race in both the women's and men's events, but of course I'm particularly interested in seeing a credible battle between Farah and Kipchoge. Even with my fanboy glasses on, Kipchoge on his best days is a cut above any other marathoner and I wouldn't expect Farah to beat him. But a great day for Farah vs an OK day for Kipchoge could see a fascinating race - and Farah will have learned by now that if he's to be in with a chance of victory he's got to stick to Kipchoge like glue, as Eliud doesn't (usually) deteriorate towards the end.

I'm hoping we'll be able to get London coverage on a Spanish hotel television.
