No, that's right - Jo was in the press a few weeks ago talking about trying to qualify. I suspect she'll miss out through some of the youngsters making a better fist of it in the trials, but to be honest I'm just in awe of her still backing herself to be able to get anywhere near to that level. And is she does manage to qualify it would be incredible. |

Some ridiculous times in the Dubai Marathon yet again. Course record shattered, two guys under 2:04. The winner was a debutante (fastest debut in history) and the runner-up took five minutes off his PB! The folks on Letsrun think he was wearing spraypainted Vaporflys as he's sponsored by Adidas. The women's race was even better. Two women under 2:18. Winner ran third fastest of all time. Very close to a sub 2:17! dubai.mikatiming.de |

Back to back 2:17s within 11 weeks by Ruth Chepngetich - that's stunningly impressive!

Well, I don't think these shoes look like the Adios! |

Adidas socks and vest though? His manager is going to be getting a call at some point from either / both Nike and Adidas!

Clearly if he had worn Nike moisture wicking socks, he would have gone sub 2:03!

Quite refreshing actually to see someone who's clearly made a positive choice about what they want to race in. Though goes back to the vaporfly thread - are we now in a world where only VF4% shoe wearers can win the races that count.

Well he might end up losing his Adidas deal due to it. It will be pretty shit if there's only one shoe worth racing in going forward.

I'm not convinced the v4% shoe (other than pyschologically) makes that much difference. Remember when Kipchoge had that time when the insole came out his shoe & still smashed the field to win. Class will out despite the footwear IMO.
