(Getting back to the Edinburgh parkrun sad news, are we certain of this? Can't see it on any parkrun news etc. )

Check the Edinburgh parkrun Facebook page. They have put up a message from the brother of the deceased thanking all those volunteers, fellow runners and medics who were involved in the incident.

How long is the underpass at Abingdon as the majority of strava uploads are uploading 26.1? I’m assuming it’s the same course as previous years?

Back in days of olde, I measured the course at the following:

26.38 miles in 3:35:35

But beware of strava as it often takes feeds from other sites and in my experience truncates runs.

Some runs are coming in at 26 miles? strava hasn’t truncated any of my Marathons.

Very strange.

For what it’s worth, my Garmin trace shows me cutting corners, running in fields, ploughing straight through buildings and running on water!

Nearly all my training runs that get feed from Suunto movescount into strava are less than what the Suunto records. :(
