Great going HOD especially soon after London
I looked at your forecast for Salzburg and it looked like it was going to be a scorcher.

To be fair it was like 18c to start by the time I got to 9/10 more like 20c then around 22c-24c for the finish had a small amount of heat stroke was sick at the end. Walked the water stations plus there was a fair amount of shade especially Mile 2-6 through wooded area. It's a great marathon I'll definitely be back

Well done Hod, especially so soon after London. If Salzburg is good for a sub 3.30 how come you've not done it yet? ;-) Are you planning a marathon in the autumn or waiting until next year?

I'm planning a few marathons none of them fast so the 2 part Show me Money Foxy events in July & August then Snowdon sub 4 there hopefully then a jolly for Travis's Armistice Day 6 hour challenge by the White Cliffs of Dover.

If I'm in shape again will be having a go at Salzburg AGAIN 3rd time lucky

Lol. You're not shit mate, probably fat, sorry I mean short for your weight but do you follow a training plan or just make it up? I can recommend the P&D 18 week up to 55 mpw plan. It helped me to my sub 3.30 and I followed the 12 week plan for Boston's 3.30 time. I shall definitely follow a P&D plan for my next sub 3.30 attempt.

Put it this way I WAS 11.4 last year at Salzburg 11.7 last summer 11.10 before Xmas and 12.1 now.

Lots of stress etc caused issues but I'm getting back on it.

Right then, Dartmoor Discovery this weekend... assuming I beat the cut offs, it is a guaranteed pb as for one year only they revert to the original race distance of 34 miles to celebrate their 20th anniversary. This will be my 7th. I think I'm looking forward to the big downhill finish... maybe :-D Let's face it, Dartmoor is always a b*tch :-)
