That is some time for a 62 year old J2R. I think Tommy Hughes has his eyes set on that record next year when he turns 60 and goes for the over 60's record. Looking at a sub 2:30!!!!

Yes, Paul's record is likely to be short-lived. Tommy Hughes ran 2:27 a few weeks ago at the age of 59, and he turns 60 next month.

Everyone At least, a large proportion at the front of the more important races. Just racing not training for me though - too expensive and fragile for daily use. |

Don't agree with em. I'm old skool but they are basically spring loaded. Asterisk next to everyone racing in them.

So, eldest son is stepping into the marathon unknown, and knocked out the following JD session today (it was 2E+8M+1E+3M+2E) so is clearly in good shape already. Beyond following the plan, accumulating the easy miles, not getting greedy with trying to eke out even more pace, keeping healthy and having a sensible race day plan, is there anything to focus on for the debut speedster that would be considered wise words of advice?
