My first was just over 10 years ago, at Bramhall. Took me over nine years to get to 50.

My first one was Scotland's first, which I read about on here. Ten and a bit years ago. Unfortunately I became ill the week before the tenth anniversary, which I had been looking forward to 31 V25s from 358 finishers at Falkirk this week. (26 volunteers credited). option_Richard - bad that it had to be done, I mean. I don't know any details, but I certainly spotted a kid effectively unaccompanied in the woods, more than once. Despite it being made absolutely clear, some (few) people are plainly not bothering following the rule and some more are, you could say, pretty loose about it when nowhere near marshals. Generally the adults are somewhere but letting the kids run well away from them sometimes as far as I can tell, out of sight. There's other stuff, a feeling a bit of parkrun etiquette breaking down, a lack of, if you will, "ethos" maybe? Perhaps it's there and I'm just a bit disconnected, or maybe it is something that happens at a certain scale, which my home run has now passed. Anyway, back to jolly reminiscence, everyone |

[What is the current t-shirt lead time, does anyone know? Just wanting to keep my two youngsters realistic with their expectations as to when the shiny red t-shirts will be available for them]

Sorry can't answer your Q larkim, but why are they pushing CONTRA so hard.. lots of people are gagging for apricot. I'm sure they would make much more money selling parkrun branded stuff, any news on when that goes on sale...

Oh dear, I know I'm moaning again, bit this new gmail system for parkrun is driving me mad. Our Event Director has put in a volunteer filter, so any people wishing to volunteer will have their email automatically diverted to the volunteer file. This seemed to work yesterday. Today though, for some strange reason, I had 3 emails lumped together. I answered one, then when I clicked back to answer the other two, they had disappeared completely. Micro-chip technology, it's passed me by. Now where did I put those two paper cups & length of string!! |

The new "banana" coloured tops can't be far away now. Was months ago that they posted the badly taken photo of the preview top.
