I am another one who started at Braunstone (11th June 2011). Ran about 10 times there through until early 2012 before moving onto other things on a Saturday morning (mainly hangovers!)

Started parkrunning again in Sept' 2016 at the Brierley Forest inaugural which was set up in part by a club member of the newly met missus. We were asked to go down and show support. I was actually quite amazed at how big the parkrun 'scene' had become in the 4 or so years since I had last run one.

Haven't looked back since and have really enjoying many aspects of the parkrun experience, from the friends I have made in the local Brierley community as well as the tourism with all the associated OCD fun of it (Alphabet, Wilson Index, Regionnaire etc.)

78 runs, 28 volunteers and 32 'tourists'.

I just managed to get under 25 mins at the Reading inaugral in 2009. It took me another 6 years before I got under 20 mins.

19th July 2014 in Inverness. I remember it being hot, and my daughter refusing to run because she had awful hayfever.

Next one was in November, then I did a few more, then a year's gap from January 15 to January 16 and I've been fairly consistent since then.

24/10/09 My OH decided that I should enter a 5k for my 50th birthday so after a spot of voyeurism and a 'test run' we stepped up to the plate a week later. A time of 34.33 saw us place in the top 50 - would need a sub 21 to do that there now ;) Very little idea of how many times I have volunteered 'cause 'back in the day' the ED only registered the 3 or 4 main roles and didn't include things like course set up / close down etc. At the weekend my OH asked where I wanted to go for my 400th run so I guess that is coming up soon. And yes, we did go on to enter a 5km on my 50th birthday.

My first - Aug 2013 at Belfast Victoria - about 3 stone heavier than I am now - jogging bottoms - ran with my dog and wanted to achieve 2 things - 1 was sub 30, and 2 was not to be lapped. I managed to run 28:22 but was lapped.
