Thanks PenW - my original thought was to head up to Newcastle and run TownMoor with the Uni pick up, but I reckon on leaving day getting him out by 9am might be a struggle!

Good to hear that Durham is nice, back when I was a student there the thought of running never even crossed my mind so it would be nice to run that some day - maybe on this trip.

Think I'm toying with Durham or Lancaster now - might depend on the weather on the weekend!

I was a North East Regionaire for a good while (just a few to catch up on - I live in the Midlands but have family there.).

As said elsewhere my #1 would be not on your list, but is FOUNTAINS Abbey, right up there of all the 100+ I've done. Then second would be Sedgefield. Really lovely park.

Sedgefield is making a late pitch for my shortlist...

Im.an RD at Fountains Abbey so am.biased but it is my favourite by a long shot of the 30 different ones I've done. It's also good if the weather is a bit wild as it tends to be more sheltered in the valley the Abbey sits in.

Went to Crane Park and yes Inhad been before. Ugly run but a solid course. Not super fast but honest.

Finally made it to the long awaited Loughborough parkrun. Well done to the core team for carving out an enjoyable route from such an unpromising location. Plenty of jeopardy involved, with potential for it turning into a right mudbath. I didn’t end up in the canal so that’s a definite win, and the final section across the rugby pitches into the teeth of a gale required some serious determination. All great fun :-)

So I guess Jersey Farm is the replacement for Heartwood? I'll be doing this the next time I'm up at dad's.

Good that you made a return to Crane, Gobi. :-)
