That's a lot of faffing and checking though. I don't have time to remember to do that!

Next bookable slot in the village is February. However, the website won't register me, so wool have to wait!

I'd phone them up to book Lizzie, much quicker and they can look at all your local-ish options.

Fragile Do Not Bend
I won’t win any speed donating prizes today, as they had to give me a tube to roll in my hand to speed things up.

There’s a new self service hot drink machine at the session I went to, I have to say the tea wasn’t great but I had an orange club to make up for it.

⬆️ everyone got a tube today in Newcastle. I could have donated sooner, but had some races in September that I didn't want to risk... Nice bourbon biscuits afterwards ☺️

Went to give blood today, there's a local regional centre (within cycling distance) so it's fairly straightforward to book a slot.

Registered a spectacular fail of the Hb test today. I'm usually a bit marginal anyway but 128 g/dL might be a new record low for me. I don't feel dizzy or anything and just ran a 3:05 marathon. Perhaps I should consider a sex change before my next attempt at a donation?

I've just had a notification that my donation from a week ago went to Bradford. Presumably for little babies, because the specification on my form was "neonatal".

How recent the marathon? I tried to give after my longest ultra and was Hb low (under 130) and when lady said, have you done any endurance exercise, I answered "a 105 mile, 24 ultra marathon, does that count?" Errr... yeah, apparently, trashes your red blood cells or something! :-) G
