Slow and steady, and focussed on remaining upright!

(1 year ago this week I broke an elbow on landing!)

Nice bike.

Little ride tonight due to time issues and needing to call into mothers.

Ride down past Dover castle, along seafront and new pier then back up Castle hill.

I am making the most of this good weather and getting out for a ride every day :-) That often means using my posh Hewitt bike which is too good to use in wet dirty conditions ;-)

I cycled to Pilates this afternoon. :-)

The temperature was officially 38.1C. It was fine while I was cycling and creating my own air-conditioning ;-) , but whenever I stopped at traffic lights - whoar, the heat hit!

The pollution seemed greater, not helped by cigarette smoking drivers passing me having their windows open.

Hot. I stopped at some traffic lights under a big bridge and it felt like all the pollution of the day had been trapped there.

Much better than I thought it was going to be. Given me some hope that I will be able to get back into it for the summer after all.
