I timed it just about right and it was deserted when I got in, just three swimmers and a lane to myself. Then ginger aussie bloke and his gobs*te mate turned up and ruined it ... Maybe I'm just jealous 'cos they're both brilliant swimmers. Spent a lot of time looking back and calculating whether I could make the other end before they were forced to overtake. Topical eh?

Better today at my "other" pool. On my own in my lane for quite a while, then joined by a swimmer with great etiquette, and in the last 10 minutes of my swim another 2 swimmers joined us and we were all perfectly lovely to each other. 2km (ish) today. Usual pool reopens on Tuesday. |

1500m today for me. 300m steady with a PB, getting the old hips rotating, then 900m straight focusing on a different form element every 10 lengths, finished off with 2 x 120m hard and 60m warm-down. In case anyone's wondering, we have a 30m pool. You do get used to it |

Those both sound good. I have the physio for my shoulder next week.

Think it's frozen shoulder. I had it in my R shoulder this time last year and it's back, to a certain extent, in my R shoulder, but the L is worse. Not quite the same, but similar in that the pain is pretty much the same but caused by slightly different movements. It's really p*ssing me off, tbh. I can't take off clothes, undo my bra, it wakes me up. It ambushes me at the most inopportune moments and takes my breath away. Last year I had a steroid injection and LOADS of physio for my R shoulder. I can't afford that much physio again on either shoulder, so not really sure what will come from the appt. Sorry - that was a bit of a brain dump.

Not meaning to pry, but what don't you like about the idea? Tell me to mind my own business.
